As a consignor, you determine the price of your items. Then, price and tag your items following our instructions, bring them during our scheduled drop-off, and we will take care of the rest! You receive 70 percent of the profit for each item, up to 75 percent if you volunteer. We take care of advertising, location, set up, display, break-down and clean-up. You finish the sale with tidier closets and a heavier wallet. What could be better?
What about items that don't sell? No worries! Your items will be sorted for you to pick up after the sale or you can choose to have us donate them to local families in need through The Hannah Center and Head Start.
After the sale, consignors are sent a check within one week. You can also see what sold and for how much by logging into your personal page on our management website. If you want to read more about how consigning and tagging works, download our full seller PDF.
8 Things You'll Need to Be a Successful Consignor
$10 registration fee: pay this through Paypal right away, since you can't start tagging until you've paid
Wire hangers: start asking for these at dry cleaners early because they get scarce close to the sale
Access to the internet and a working printer (or USB flash drive for printing at an office supply store)
White, non-textured card stock
Multiple sizes of safety pins to attach tags to clothing, shoes, blankets, etc.
Only packing tape and painters tape to attach tags to toys and other items
2 laundry baskets or clear tubs/bins
Time: plan to set aside a few afternoons or evenings to sort, hang, and tag your items
If consigning sounds like too much work, please consider donating your kids' used items to us. We price them to sell and the proceeds go to BloomingMoms. Remember, your donations are tax deductible! We accept donations in the month leading up to the sale, through the start of the sale week. If you have donations to drop off, please email us.
If the tagging process sounds a little too time-consuming, we have several local women who are willing to do your tagging for you! These women typically take a commission from what you sell in the sale or charge per item. If you would like contact information for tagging services, contact us for a referral.*
*Please be aware that these tagging service contacts do not work for Encores Kids Consignment Sale and the tagging services are not provided by Encores Kids Consignment Sale. We cannot be held responsible for any financial transactions or dissatisfaction with services.
